Street Diner

Street Diner was Brighton's biggest weekly street food event, which I co-founded in 2013. I operated all aspects of the market, including the branding, trader recruitment and site acquisition. I managed our PR and social media platforms, starting with a handful of followers and growing them into nearly twenty thousand. It was more than a market, it was a much loved Brighton brand and community.

Street Diner put the Brighton street food scene on the national map. It produced award-winning traders and featured in BBC Good Food Magazine, Elle, The Independent and countless blogs. We popped up at major city events, including The Brighton Marathon, The Brighton Fringe and Pride.

The pandemic brought the market to a natural end. But ten years of street food were a delicious joy. It gave me huge insight and experience in running large scale events. Line managing traders, dealing with partnerships and customer expectation. I still work with many of the traders, recruiting for pubs, events or private gigs and will always love a burrito.
